Q. Will hypnotherapy make me do silly things like I see on the TV?

No, that is stage hypnosis, a different thing entirely. Those individuals have very carefully been selected from a huge audience, and only do those things because a part of them doesn't mind or wants to do them. Hypnotherapy, is for your own personal benefit and you will only do it if it is beneficial to you. I can't, make you do anything you don't want to do.

Q. What can hypnotherapy be used for?

It is quite commonly used for stopping smoking, weight loss, anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, to boost confidence, anything that is stopping you from living the life you want to live. Q. Will hypnotherapy make me fall asleep?

Generally no, but it is a possibility with deep relaxation. Hypnotherapy can be used very successfully as an aid to sleep disorders.

Q. Will I remember what went on?

Yes, you will be aware of what is being said and going on around you, although there may be times where you don't remember, depending on your level of relaxation. The sub-conscious part of your mind hears everything, so the treatment still works.

Q. Are there any side effects with hypnotherapy?

No, only positive side effects, which could be deep relaxation, reduced stress levels, feeling of being refreshed and motivated to name a few.

Q. How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy utilises a deeply relaxed state of mind, like a focused trance when you are concentrating on a TV programme or the computer, to change or improve sub-conscious behaviours for the benefit of the individual.
